Terms of Service Mythril Discord Application

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Mythril Discord application, bot, and related services (“Bot” or “Service”), operated by Mythril Platforms, Inc. (“Mythril,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By adding the Bot to your Discord server, interacting with its commands, or linking your Mythril account, you agree to these Terms.

1. Description of Service

The Bot provides Discord-integrated story bible, canon, and lore exploration tools for creators and communities, including world management, published chapter Q&A (/ask), optional account linking with the Mythril web platform (irl.mythril.io), and creator insights from channels a creator has connected.

In those connected channels, the Bot uses Discord’s Message Content intent to see message text. That is how it notices when someone @mentions a story author and how it builds author activity for the creator. It does not use that access outside the channels the creator connected.

2. Eligibility & Discord Terms

  • You must comply with Discord’s Terms of Service and Community Guidelines at all times.

  • You must meet Discord’s minimum age requirement (at least 13 years old, or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction).

  • If you add the Bot to a server, you represent that you have the requisite server permissions (e.g., Manage Server or Administrator).

3. User Content & Intellectual Property

  • Ownership: You retain full ownership of all story inputs, prompts, manuscripts, and creative text you submit through the Bot (“Input”), as well as AI-assisted responses generated specifically for your content (“Output”). Mythril claims no intellectual property rights over your stories.

  • No Model Training: We do not use your Content to train public or foundational machine learning models.

  • Mythril Property: The Bot, underlying APIs, software, workflows, and documentation remain the exclusive intellectual property of Mythril Platforms, Inc.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Bot to:

  • Violate applicable laws, third-party intellectual property, or privacy rights.

  • Transmit abusive, harassing, defamatory, or unlawful content.

  • Probe, reverse-engineer, exploit, or disrupt the Bot or underlying infrastructure.

  • Attempt to bypass Discord or Mythril rate limits or access controls.

5. Third-Party AI Services & Disclaimers

  • The Bot utilizes enterprise AI APIs (including, but not limited to, Google Cloud Vertex AI / Gemini and other commercial model providers) under enterprise agreements with zero data retention for model training.

  • AI-generated responses are provided for creative assistance. Mythril does not guarantee the factual accuracy or suitability of AI Output.

  • THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mythril Platforms, Inc. shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Bot. Total liability will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount paid by you to Mythril in the preceding 12 months.

7. Termination

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate access to the Bot for any user or server that violates these Terms, abuses the API, or compromises service stability.
